I recently had a pulsed field ablation procedure after developing atrial fibrillation in 2024. Symptomatic atrial fibrillation was stressful and kept me from doing things I enjoy, like hiking. My ablation took place at Sequoia Hospital. Dr Gregory Engel was the Electrophysiologist that performed the ablation procedure. I had atrial fibrillation problems that were not corrected in six ablations. I tried everything - had some done at Stanford, even traveled to the Cleveland Clinic (#1 Heart Hospital) with ablations only working a year or so. I asked Dr. R Hardwin Mead if he was up for a challenge and he said he was. Ten years later I feel great although I still take some medication, which is not a problem as I need it for lower blood pressure anyway. The recovery was tougher than my other ablations so be warned - but it worked.
