K.D. had her surgeries at 1 and 13 years old. Shriners always tried to make her as comfortable as possible, and help her understand what was happening. Shriners always took our calls to answer our questions, and help us when we needed it. K.D. used silver thread to make her shirt actuate.

Could not sing their praises enough. We are a proud family with a child who is a patient at Shriners Shreveport, under Dr. Umer’s care. We love the staff, care and support we receive. We travel from Oklahoma for every appointment and it’s worth it! We will be forever grateful for the care we receive and could never repay them.
Stepping foot in the Hospital everyday is like entering a different world. Being a small part of the team that works so hard to make our kids realize their potential- it is amazing.
