I was your patient way back I was 2 yrs old and my last operation when I was 19 yrs old. I was adopted from the Philippines had infection in my right themur leg when I came to the states. My loving family care for want me to able to walk agai. Had surgeries from putting a metal pins rod holding it in place. Doctors put a cast from toe to my rib cage I was young. I was a patient 15-20 years ago and was just reminiscing. I wore a brace for 5+ years and then had fusion for scoliosis at Shriners. Even though going through it was terrible, the strongest memories I have from that season are positive ones of how well I was cared for. My surgery was March 10, 2003. Sabrina made my braces, Dr. Turker performed the surgery, and one of my nurses Nathan came in with his guitar and played tunes during initial recovery. We love you Shriners of Portland Oregon!!! We have always been so well taken care of here! After an 8 hr surgery things were hard, but they were so professional! They helped so much! Hooray Dr Welborne! And staff!!
My daughter Bridget had an 8 hour surgery a week ago and the doctors and nurses went out of their way to make both my girls feel comfortable. Thank you very much.....
Very professional! Fast to see us, caring and thorough. We are going back in a couple of months to go over our daughters MRI results and see how physical therapy has been going. Dr. Bauer is amazing and very good at communicating with teenagers and parents. Thank you for making it easier.
This is an amazing wonderful cause. Nobody is ever billed for services. So much love and care for children that need serious medical attention.
My son and I went on a tour, it was very impromptu and informative. We didn't realize we needed to book an appointment but were welcomed with open arms by a fellow noble and his family to join their tour. Thanks again. Chad Paton
