We ate here on vacation. Pretty good food. Prices are good. My main problem is... why is there no white gravy with your chicken fried steak?! I had to eat ketchup on my chicken fried steak :( This is Texas. We eat white gravy with CFS. I would have ordered something else had I known.

It's everything I wanted and expected from a seafood joint in a seafood town. The seating area in the breezeway is the way to go. The fans humming in the background not only keep it plenty cool, it's relaxing as hell after a day at he beach. A must to-do while on the island.

My first impression walking in was pretty good. Cool little dive, out of the way. Cashier taking my order was a freakin robot. I tried to be friendly. No expression. My wife tried to make her smile. Not even an attempt at a weak smile. I noticed the cashier next to her, same thing. Get another job ladies! The busboy was great walking around. He helped us set up our table, with a smile. By the way, he got my tip. He said he was usually the cook, but they were shorthanded. Great guy. I think his name was Fabio or something lik... read more

Worst so called shrimp Poboy I ever had. They said it was shrimp but it was flat frozen shrimp. The only thing they had going for them is the gumbo. I got my money back bc it was awful.

Avenue O and 39th is much better than the one on the Strand.

If you want a amazing deal here it is. Portions are HUGE. Got the catfish dinner expecting a couple Long John Silver sized peices of fish, got 2 giant peices the size of my forearm, 3 of the best hush puppies I have ever had (no seriously, they were amazing) and enough fries to feed a small village. Only paid 9 bucks in total. As if that wasn't awesome enough, the food was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. WELL worth the money.
