I have eaten at this restaurant since I was a little boy! The gumbo is phenomenal and the shrimp/catfish poboy is fantastic! I am passing on the tradition to my own sons now, as they ate there for the first time last night.
Just ate this place with my mom and my girlfriend. I will say Galveston has some of the freshest seafood in Texas. We were hungry after walking around the strand. The stores are very nice and some good places that we've passed by too. Ordered some fried shrimp platters and other seafoods. Shrimp was great, sides were fresh. It was awesome! We highly recommend this establishment. Great food, service and hospitality.
Had a wonderful time eating outside with friends on Friday. Food and atmosphere are wonderful!
We discovered this place by talking to the staff at the hotel we were staying at. Delicious, home cooked Gulf seafood. And spicy red potatoes, can't find anything like this up here in Arlington/Fort Worth area. Yumm
Ate here today with the Wifey. Drove in from Houston after hearing chatter on Facebook. It lived up to it's talk. Food was well seasoned. FF was as good as the Fish and Shrimp. I think they are potatoes cut. I saw the skin on some. You cant compare the price anywhere else. It's cheap and tasteful
The whole family gives five thumbs up! We had The shrimp Po boy, shrimp dinner, kids tilapia meal, and fish taco! Oh and a small salad. A must if you're in Galveston.
Awesome food! Dont listen to negative...they dont know southern food. Lol
