In Ontario there is a huge wait time to see specialist for any health issues. This is something that shouldice is taking advantage of. Back in December I went to shouldice for a possible hernia, as you can go see them the next day after filling out a forn. I went to my appointment and the "specialist " that saw me told me that i have a slight hernia in my belly button and a inguinal hernia. Best hospital I ever been to, I had 2x hernias fixed here over my one week stay. Super friendly nurses, waitress’, doctors, surgeon (Dr. Simmons), admins, etc. Very well kept and clean facility. The food was amazing and healthy, fed 4x times a day, during my week stay the food was always different too! Amazing chef! Everything made from scratch! I recently went to Shouldice Hospital and I must applaud their professionalism! The staff and surgeons are competent and professional and the environment is truly conducive to healing! I applaud everyone there and thank them for making a traumatic experience a lot more comfortable. Thank you

Absolutely worst hospital I have been to for possible hernia surgery. After waiting for weeks to get a consultation appointment they accept you as a patient keep and you waiting for several months while they do multiple blood tests and review a hematologist's consultation notes only to say you are not a suitable candidate for surgery due to a high platelet count which they say could cause internal bleeding, yet this actually makes the blood thicker and more easy to clot, rather than cause internal bleeding so they are full o... read more
