I'm sharing my recent experience with Dr. Laura Fernandez Ortiz at Shores Pediatrics to caution other parents. When I mentioned that I wasn't sure when I wanted to vaccinate my 20-month-old daughter with the MMR and varicella (chicken pox) shots or when I wanted to do so, Dr. Ortiz became confrontational, very rude, and dismissive (in front of my child), and told me that she wouldn't continue treating my child.
