Shoreline Sightseeing, established in 1939, began with one vessel offering Lake Michigan Boat Tours showcasing Chicago's fabulous skyline. Now in our third generation of family ownership and operation and in our 77th season. Shoreline Sightseeing has a fleet of ten touring vessels and nine water taxis. In 1996, we brought the first water taxis to Chicago. All our touring vessels have been custom built or custom modified to offer our passengers the highest standards of comfort and safety.

OMG THIS CREW IS THE BEST!!! My family and I were visiting Chicago today and used both the water taxi rides and did a lake tour as well - all were wonderful! Then on our last leg back to the train I accidentally left a very sentimentally important water bottle on our taxi. The booth attendant called the boat, they found my bottle, transferred it to another boat, and brought it back for me. THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

The weather was perfect! Mike was our guide and did an excellent job. I learned so much. The buildings are beautiful. I would definitely do another cruise in the future.
The night time architecture cruise so far has been the highlight of our trip, and one of my favorite things I’ve ever done on all my trips around the country. Love love loved it. The tour guide did an amazing job, learned so much and it was so beautiful . The city lights sparkling on the water wasn’t the only great thing about going at night, it was so relaxing not baking in the hot sun and felt so leisurely with the evening breeze and the quiet of a sleeping city.
