clueless my dog and i would never go back to shoreland...sitting in a hot small room listening to the 'boarders" howl in the backround waiting for twenty minutes to be seen by a vet tech, who asked the same questions over and over again. to then wait again in a hot stuffy closet to have a vet tech use such force on my dog for a fecal sample, my dog cinched up and groaned and looked at me like u have got to be kidding me...bring in a stool....we left with our tails between our legs..not our cup of tea...animals at least mine ... read more
Excellent Care I'm very surprised by the other two ratings, but they seem to be based on a single experience. Care for my cats and kittens has been excellent for 9 years. My four previous cats died of natural causes, and my two six-month old kittens have had serious problems due to coming from a shelter. Dr. Brown and Dr. Thornton have provided excellent support during this time. The kittens are doing very well now, due entirely to the care they received. I would not go anywhere else. traci y Shoreland Animal clinic has been a God send to me i have taken many animals to Dr Thorton and Brown. Both dogs and cats and they have always been kind and understanding in the care they have provided and never forcing treatment and respecting my wishes as most of the animals I have brought in have been found on the street and given a good home
Poor Experience I have brought my dog in there a few times to have her nails clipped and every single time I take he rin they clip them to short and she bleeds. They dip her nail in this stuff to stop the bleeding but it hurts the dog and I think their staff should have more experience. I worked for a vet for 6 months and I could sdo a better job for free if I had the clippers! I would never take her there for services that were life threatening! PROS: It's close to my home CONS: Poor Staff
Pricey -Not good service. I was unhappy when I took my pet to this clinic. I couldn't believe the prices that they charged. 20$ just to clip the nails! This is rediculous!!!! The staff wasn't very friendly, and didn't seem too knowledgeable. I would not take my pets there again.
GREAT STAFF!! THE STAFF AT SHORELAND ANIMAL HOSPITAL KNOWS HOW TO TREAT THE PETS AND THE CLIENTS. NO MATTER WHAT IT TAKES THEY GIVE IT 100%. THEY ARE ALWAYS CALLING TO SEE HOW MY PET IS DOING EVEN AFTER IT HAS BEEN A WEEK SINCE ITS BEEN THERE. YOU CAN GO TO ANOTHER OFFICE FOR A $15.00 OFFICE CALL, BUT YOU WILL NEVER RECEIVE THE GREAT TREATMENT YOU WILL GET HERE. THEY DON'T SEE YOU AS A NUMBER ONLY AS SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO GIVE THEIR PET THE BEST.
trustworthy and friendly i've been a client of shoreland animal hospital for nearly twenty years now and have never had a bad thing to say about them. the staff is very friendly, to both animals and people alike, and they take special care w/each client. dr. brown and the late dr. thorton have always made me feel at ease by walking me thru the entire process. their rates can be a little steep, but unlike many other vets who rake up their costs w/every little shot and test, shoreland animal hospital never forces unnecessary s... read more
Wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else!!! Dr. Brown and staff have been wonderful to my two dogs. I have recommended Shoreland Animal Hospital to all of my friends and family. Dr. Brown is very thorough and caring, and his staff is very kind and helpful.
Good Staff but poor communication The staff is extremely friendly but it does not compensate for extremely poor communication. I have not had a dog for 20 years when i was a kid. i do not know what vaccinations are required and relied on the vet to inform me of what was required. After the third time of being turned away for grooming and Kennel b/c dog did not have adequate vaccinations, I decided to post and let everyone know if you are going to use Shoreland....you better be willing to do your own research.
