Food was just ok. It was Wednesday, theme food was cookout with burger, dogs and sides along with the usual food bar food. Mostly dried out or sitting in grease. Salad area was fresh and good. Service was good and the place was clean.

This was our first visit to a Shoneys. I’m from Michigan where the franchise is called Big Boy. So I was looking forward to having a Slim Jim. We had a wonderful waitress named Kelly who told us about the SJ special—which both my husband and I enjoyed. All of the staff we encountered were very pleasant. While we live south of Asheville, we’ll definitely return (or check out another Shoneys) when we have the opportunity.
