Stopped in at this Shoney’s to grab brunch. As I entered, I was greeted by a sign informing me that this was the restaurants last day of operations. The staff were extremely friendly & polite. They explained that since the restaurant was closing all that was available that day was the buffet. I do love the buffet, so I stayed to eat and enjoy this Shoney’s last day. Sad that the family style comfort food buffet has closed in Morgantown, WV. It was reasonably priced but at the end the owner wouldn't put much effort into it and did not have items on the buffet that were "signature" to Shoney's like the Friday seafood buffet. The owner spent all his time and effort on his store in PA. I am told that another "chain" Mexican restaurant will take it's place.
