Dr. Al is an amazing doctor and completely understands what he is prescribing and as long as you are honest with him he will help you. Maybe you should have taken your own advice, TT, and done your own research. It could have prevented your son from becoming a benzodiazepine (used for anxiety/panic attacks) addict. Remember, you did allow him to prescribe your child this medication, don t blame the doctor. I m on two psychiatric medications from Dr. Al for the past year and a half and it s improved my life dramatically.
He is not a psychiatrist, he is a pediatrician. He should not be prescribing psychiatric medications to teens. The risks far outweigh the benefits. The long term affects on the brain is not well documented for this age group. Please, please do your research. My son was never the same after being prescribed anti-anxiety meds at 18 for nervousness during his first year of college. Our beautiful, brilliant 4.0 student was buried at age 25 after years of struggling.
I love Dr.Albert Melaragna, he is amazing with children, a true loving pediatrician, he sees my oldest daughter for ADHD and I love how open he is to work at my comfort level regarding meds and his tolerance with kids is to the roof, you can tell he loves children and makes my girls smile and the doctor s visit pleasant. Dr. Al we love you!
Dr. Shoham Dr. Shoham has treated my family for 6 years. He is very well informed and up to date with all the newest medical treatments. Dr. Shoham saved my middle son from having a huge scar on his chin after a horrible accident that he had during a Lacrosse game. My son was driving himself to some clinic when he called me and told me that he had this huge gash on his chin and was bleeding all over. some Doctor... a little man with god complex, stay away! had to wait, 45 min, than was interviewed, all along you get the feeling he doesnt really care if you there or not
I feel that Dr. Al is one of the best doctors I have ever had for my children. He is not only great with them, but, as busy as he is, he is also attentive to me as a single mom with three children, two of them with ADHD. I would recommend Dr. Al highly! My only regret, although I know its inevitable, is that I have noticed that he has grown busier and busier over time. I hope this will not take away from his own health, as well as the individual attention he is able to give to his patients. We need you, Dr. Al!!!!!
Dr.Al has been my daughters pediatrician for a few years now. Besides being bi-lingual, having a great personality, and being a good doctor with a keen eye. What I enjoy most about seeing Dr. Al is his attitude regarding off hour walk ins. There have been several times When I have called him on a weekend, holiday or have simply shown up at his office without an appointment. my family recently moved to California and i have been looking for a doctor for my children we tried one office and found it less than satisfactory. A friend mentioned that she had discovered Dr Al through her insurance and loved the experience at his office. My family has experienced the same. his staff is kind and helpful and he is readily available for questions and phone calls.
