Great please - vegan sushi taken to another level of exquisite!!
Best restaurant in SF, actually, in the world! My favorites in the following order: spicy garlic ramen, hidden agenda, proud peacock with extra teriyaki sauce, body and soul, open invitation, secret weapon, and scarlet smile.
Amazing food and atmosphere. Well worth the long wait. My only complaint is that they don't have a dedicated server to fill drink orders for people waiting and the hostess was too busy. We asked for water and cocktails several times, but got turned down. I think they'd do well to invest in another person, as they probably lost $1000 in drink revenue during the course of the night.
This hole in the wall restaurant has an unique and beautiful experience/presentation of Vegan Sushi that transformed my opinion of what is considered vegan, gluten free sushi. I highly recommend Shizen to both vegans and non-vegans. Give it a try, you will certainly love it !!!
