About this business
We are a unique destination for weddings, memorials, special photography sessions (engagements, quinceañeras, portfolios) and open to the public as a 5-acre tranquil garden setting. Current group size limited to 10 people per group only. The initial development of a Japanese garden was envisioned in 1967 and the donation of land by Ralph Woodward to establish Woodward Park helped launch the establishment of the Woodward Park Japanese Development Committee led by Ben Nakamura.

It’s a very peaceful place with a large lake and beautiful Koi fish. Plenty of walking paths and roaming peacocks and peahens.
Everything! Beautiful, peaceful....simply exquisite! Clark Bonsai Collection is world class! A Bonsai Museum. The garden is maintained solely by loving volunteers. You can feel that presence the minute you enter the gates! A jewel in Woodward Park...a must experience adventure!
Shenzhen is beautiful and very peaceful! It’s definitely worth a visit… Perhaps several visits! This was my second time to enjoy the friendship garden. I hope to return soon.

This is one of the best kept secrets in Fresno. It’s my favorite place to take people when they come to visit. We often attend the lantern festivals and enjoy the bonsai exhibit. I also went to a celebration of life there recently and it was the most beautiful service. Thank you for supporting a local treasure! :)
