My 2015 Subaru WRX had the upper radiator hose crack which lead to a few other issues. Shingle Springs Subaru Service department wanted to charge 2 hrs of labor ($140.00) for diagnostic. They then informed me they needed ($1,400.00) in labor to see if my head gasket needed to be replaced, which then would have cost me approximately ($6,600.00) for the repair.
