HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT! Don't WASTE your TIME! – Went to Tasu for a girls night out last night ... the food was GREAT ... however the management is probably the most horrible thing I've ever experienced ... Sad, too sad – The lunch with my friends was spoiled by inability of restaurant to provide separate checks for sushi. Their greedy rules forced us to have one single bill per whole table and caused lots of problems when final bill was delivered. Some of us ordered expensive sushi, others - cheap ones. Bad rap... GREAT sushi! – I can't say this is the best sushi in all the south but if you live in the area then this is the best place to get great sushi. The turnover of fish is often and that is key... the BOGO free does have its hang ups but i never got it to go...so i say thumbs up... nothing wrong here..... i love to sit at the sushi bar and watch the artists at work. Good location, but mediocre sushi – Firstly I only went to the restaurant once and it is quite possible that day was an off day, but the sushi was very sloppy and I can't believe they even served it like that to customers. I have gone to many sushi restaurants in the triangle and this restaurant is very low on my list. It does have a nice location close to the mall and other venues. I am unsure if I would go to this sushi restaurant again due to the poor preparation of the sushi.
BOGO SUSHI – Honestly the sushi here is delicious. They have a large selection of very well made, fresh, creative sushi rolls. I eat here every Tuesday for lunch and absolutely love the food. Two reasons that Tasu does not get more than 3 stars: 1) Drink glasses are too small. Not a good deal. – I went on a Friday night for the buy 1 get 1 free deal. It was about a 45min wait. It seems like a good deal, but it's not after all the waiting and for sushi that is thoughtlessly created. They have about 100 different rolls, and it seems like they just put different ingredients together without any thought to taste or proportion. There is no art to their sushi whatsoever. frozen raw fish – I just went there last night with my friends. I was disappointed by the chirashi sushi don that the salmon is still frozen inside! It's like eating some frozen food that still have ice chunk in there, but in a bad way. I've never had any raw fish with ice in there and it's very sad that I had that at Shiki.
Denied – Last night my wife and I were driving by Tasu and saw the sign outside advertising buy one sushi roll, get one free so we thought we would give Tasu a try and pick up a couple of rolls to take home with us. We live in the Brier Creek area and were really happy that there was a sushi place so close to us. If the sushi was good, we would probably stop in at least every other week. not worth it – I dont think i would recommend this place since it just is way too expensive for the sloppy sushi rolls that they serve. That's why I started going to another place every time i wanted sushi. If you want quality rolls for a reasonable price, you wont find it here.
