The MRI staff and the procedure itself were excellent - FIVE stars! But the ramp-up time to get me scheduled was completely unacceptable. I have an implanted cardiac device, which requires some extra steps (chest X-ray, cardiologist sign-off). It took two months to get this scheduled, and I had to make at least two dozen phone calls to Shields Scheduling, my primary care doctor, and my cardiologist, to push it along. There was no urgency on their part (Shields Scheduling), and no initiative taken to help me out. Two stars on... read more
They were very kind and sweet to my needs and care
I have had many MRI’s with and without dyes. I have to say Shields made it a great experience. I didn’t even feel the needle and the nurses knew exactly what they were doing . From beginning to end I never thought that I would ever say that having an MRI WAS GREAT. The Shields in UMass MRI -B
