My computer went down on me on a Sunday evening in Harlan County, KY. I drove Monday morning to Knoxville and went to Best Buy to see if Geek Squad could help me as I have important deadlines to meet by Tuesday morning. Geek Squad said there wasn’t anything at all they could do and if there were anything they could do it would take 5-7 days. The only think Geek Squad did right was tell me to call Shields! Terrible customer service. This business is why customers are flocking in droves to buy from online sellers. Not only do they not know what they are talking about, they refuse to stand by their recommendations. Do. Not. Shop. Here.

After ordering a roll of 1000' of fiber optic cable I was surprised when given the bill for an extra $260 for shipping. The most disturbing thing is that after confronting the employee who placed the order he told me that he "thought I knew" even though he neither informed me of the cost upfront nor gave me any other options for shipping. When faced with the opportunity to remedy the mistake they chose the loss of a customers and reputation rather than even apologize. Bad business. Bad customer service. Bad attitude.

Less than friendly customer service, did not have 10A 250v fuses in stock, I attempted to purchase an over priced PC fan for $12, tried to pay with a debit card, was told that they have a $20 minimum when paying with a card. That's fine. I'll take my business to the Internet. I try to give local businesses my business but I'm done with Shields. This is not the first time that I have left there frustrated. Amazon will have the PC fan here Monday for a cheaper price.

They had what I needed and understood me. The price was a little high but no other places where I am had it in stock, and I wasn't willing to wait for a mail order to get through because the work was urgent.
