Pros: Close to everything Cheapest place in Torrance No annual rent increases Utilities are included in rent On-site managers are nice and help when they can. No bugs at all. I think I saw 1 spider my entire tenure here. Cons: The security deposit is gone when you pay it. You may get back $200 and corporate will not answer calls. I lived in a Shibui studio for 5 years and had a great experience. It’s an old building so don’t expect luxury but the management takes care of it and their tenants which is what really matters. The on-site managers Danilo and Fulvio (now retired) are such kind and pleasant people who went above and beyond to help me many times. I didn’t get to know the newest manager Liz as I left shortly after she was hired but she seemed great as well. My father died in these apartments back on Nov 1975. Im a Jr. he had same name of course. And I still miss him like crazy and I was only 11 when he died. But I use to live here with him.
I've been living for three years and the managers are excellent people and they help you in the best way they can. I see very bad reviews on the page and what can I say, my experience has not been bad on the contrary and you will always find one or another situation but nothing that is serious. If there are dogs but it is normal for them to bark and that is not the fault of the owner, it is their nature. Nice location and great onsite managers. There is a problem with barking dogs in the complex. People should not be allowed to have loud animals, especially if the owners are negligent and cannot control their dogs. Dogs bark and whine at all hours of the day. A complex this size should not allow anyone to own a dog they cannot control.
