Horrible experience. Been waiting 10 months and counting for one of my PFL checks. I call/email them ever few weeks for an update. Every time they say they'll check on it and call me back, or get a supervisor to call me back. Every time they fail to actually do so.

I am having a extremely bad experience with this company, I have called numerous times. Ive been told my claim is on hold due to missing paperwork. Ive already received 2 checks and all the sudden things are missing? One woman said its a back to work form, which Im not back to work. Same day, a gentleman stated he didn't see this on my portal. not happy with this company at all ! for some people when having to get paid leave it can be new to them and not sure of the protocol. Simple questions wont be answered. no one knows what another person is doing. no one gets back to you with accurate information. i sent paperwork they respond with did you send this i mean if yiu are looking into my claim you should see it was submitted. I opened my claim in June and provided all the necessary document. Things went south when after the first few checks the amount of my checks changed without any prior notice. Some weeks I received the correct amount for the 2 weeks and other times I received a check for 1.2 weeks. My bills are based on being paid for 2 weeks. There was no prior notification or explanation. I was constantly checking the portal. So fast forward the portal stated a check would be issued on 411/30, and it usually takes 2 to 3 days to arrive. I started a claim which was approved and I received my first check. My second check was due to be sent out 2 weeks later. I checked the portal daily to make sure everything was in order which it was until checking the day the second check was meant to be sent out I needed more health information. Called them they said they mailed out the paper I asked them to fax it to my doctors so it could get done. Payment always late. I swear I have to email them every week to ask why my next weeks check hasn’t been mailed out. I’m using Tuesday and Thursday weekly for paid family leave. It doesn’t change. I don’t know what’s so hard about that. I have to put everything on credit cards and can barely pay my rent when they’re late with my money.

Not good. I had to have surgery for a hernia repair. Since I knew the date I was having this done and the expected recovery, I had the doctor fill out the paperwork. My doc charges a fee for this, understandably. Shelterpoint rejected it because it was filled out prior to the date I was "disabled". I had to have the doc fill out the paperwork again. I became disabled on 2/9/2021 I was told it was a waiting period of a week before you get your first check I got my first check shortly after that, however I haven't received anymore payments since then I check the website to check and it said the next check would be sent out on 3/10 . I never received it . I checked the website once again and it's states that I have been paid already 3 week and 3 days and the next payment is due on the 3/26/2021. I tested positive for COVID-19 on January 17 it’s now February 22 and still have not received a check, they keep saying how they never received my paperwork and by the end of my phone call the paperwork magically appears they keep delaying.
