If I could give less than one star I would. I hit a mailbox, and its been 5 months trying to get it repaired. Shelter does everything to blame the repair shop, but when it comes down to it, and the truth came out, it was solely Shelter Insurance holding up the process. Terrible customer service! The agent yells at you. Wont return calls, and rude when trying to get information.
We've been with Shelter for 10 years. Recently, I had an accident that totalled my car...a driver with no insurance lost control and swerved into oncoming traffic and hit us. I had at least 15 witnesses as well as video of the entire thing from a business's security cameras. Worst Insurance company ever. After nearly 20 years with them for Home, Autos, and a Motorcycle with no claims, our roof leaked after a wind and rain storm and ruined the kitchen ceiling. Shelter created a loophole and stated that BIRDS pecked the hole in the roof, and so none of the repairs are covered. When the inspector arrived, he immediately mentioned that there is bird damage to the roof. I had an accident on May 10th 2021.. I was also injured. Im home now and its June 8th 2021. This insurance has still not paid out my claim. I carried full coverage insurance.. I have been given the excuse that the adjuster got sick, then a typo on the VIN number held it up.
