One of my favorite boutiques to visit in DC! I always love to see the new designers in the shop and the beautiful designs. I’ve bought many timeless pieces from here over the years that have lasted so well! Beautiful jewelry!
Very uncomfortable experience. My partner and I are people of color, and from the moment we walked in, we felt unwelcome. It was our first time shopping for engagement rings, and within 10 minutes we left due to the cold, ugly attitude we received. Sadly, this seems to aligns with other reviews calling out the stark difference in treatment between POC and white customers. Giving two stars only because their candle collection smelled surprisingly good—but the energy overall was bad enough to make sure we won’t be back.

A+ experience creating a custom engagement ring with Shelter. The entire team worked diligently to meet my fiance and where we were, every step of the way. We created a unique and beautiful ring for a very fair price. The best part was how available the staff were during the process and how up-front it all was. I will definitely be back with Shelter for future projects.
