Fraud!! They lie!! They tried to violate my loan contract and escrow terms and force me to escrow insurance and taxes. They tried to force me to buy lender policies. They issued money illegally out of my escrow account. They have horrible customer service!!

YOU WOULD THINK IT WAS BRAIN SURGERY I WANTED. INEPT! COMPLETELY INEPT CUSTOMER SERVICE POLICIES & COMPLIANCE GROUP NewRez LLC dba Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing inaccurately reported late payments on my account to the credit bureaus. I would give no starts if possible. Their customer service is by far the most disrespectful I have ever dealt with. They talk like robots and continue to ask the same questions even after you tell them the answer. They are beyond horrible.

I hate the fact that I had to give it one star when they absolutely deserve ZERO. My mortgage was assumed in January by Newrez, only to be taken over in March by Shellpoint. Never in my 20 years of multiple home ownership have I dealt with a worse company in the financial industry. After months of having no idea my payment was not going to my account correctly, and hundreds of dollars in fees, I finally discovered what was going on. My 7 year old mortgage was assigned to Shellpoint. I’ve had this experience before, never been an issue beyond changing the payment address. It has been very difficult working with Shellpoint culminating in a 6 week harassment campaign, threatening to charge me for lender proved coverage at a cost of $4,000, where they simply needed to be added to an existing policy. To Whom It May Concern: I am only writing this because of how unhappy I am with Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing. Normally I would just let it go and move on. UTTERLY INCOMPETENT is a nice way of saying that this company is the WORST I've ever dealt with. I have perfect credit and have never in my life been late on a bill. They HAVE my January payment but are too inept to find it in their own accounts and are telling me that I didn't pay it and treating me like someone who is delinquent on their bills. As a short sale professional, I have had multiple opportunities to work with Shellpoint. I have not had a bad transaction with them. They are quick and efficient. The last employee I had was kind, courteous and very accommodating. Nice job Shellpoint!

So far this has been the worst experience I've ever had with a mortgage company. The rudeness, incompetence, slow return of any paperwork needed, overall a terrible decision.
