Beware! My husband and I went on our 2-week honeymoon, and I boarded my 9-year-old Chihuahua with Dr. Shell. When I dropped her off, she weighed 5 lbs. When I picked her up, she weighed 2.5 lbs., and she died of starvation the following day. Dr. Shell and his staff failed to feed her or remove her from her cage for the entire two weeks she was boarded with them, and she literally atrophied...couldn't even stand when I picked her up. Man's Best Friend! Dr. Shell and his staff are truly animal lovers. They will help you take great care of your dogs, cats, etc. They offer preventive check-ups, emergency care, surgery, boarding, even grooming services! They also carry a variety of pet food, collars, etc. When we had to have our elderly dog put to sleep a few years ago, the staff was extremely compassionate and grieved along with us.
