I have been a patient of Dr. Getzug's for more years than I can recall. He is a "one of a kind" G.I. He is an excellent diagnostician, extremely patient, a good listener, and goes above and beyond for his patients.
Dr Getzug is hands down the absolute best GI doc in the business. He is caring, compassionate and brilliant! He has been so patient and kind and done all that he can to help me avoid surgery. I have yet to meet a doctor that spends this kind of time and persistence to care for his patients. He has been around for over 30 years and based solely on the patients talking in the waiting room, you can tell it's mutual. H His office manager-nurse Judy is amazing and Extremely professional & kind!
They charged me $23,000.00 for a colonoscopy! Want to know why insurance is so high? How disgusting is this office? NEVER GOING BACK. Shameless exploitation of insurance. Horrific. The average cost in California is $2500.00 $5000.00 is considered highest. This includes a facility.
Dr. Getzug is one of the most patient, knowledgeable, and informative physicians I've ever seen. He has a gift of putting the patient at ease despite the type of exam that a visit to the GI may entail. He also saw my husband the week before me and was the first GI in 1/2 a decade to brilliantly look at the entire medical record and make a proper diagnosis (later supported by HLA findings). Dr. Getzug is a true gem as is Judy Felkai his office manager. Judy F. was warm and effective!
Terrible office manager "Judy" and billing manager " an other Judy". No follow up with in regards to your Ins. I was told they will check my Ins. and let me know if I am out of net work, only after paying $150 I found out that the Dr. isn't in my net work. And when I left a massage to ask why should I pay $150, I didn't hear from Judy, and when I called again Judy was very rude and improper. I had my procedure with r. Badii in Wes Hills, he and his stuff are the best.
Dr Getzug's ability saved me from a surgical procedure other MD's said was necessary. Waiting for the lab results, as per his opinion, was the answer needed to treat my infection. He is a great physician with a great bedside manner.
