Great dr. Has worked on a torn rotator cuff and a broken arm. Both ended well. He also did surgery on my daughter’s knee in the past. I was nervous and he assured me he would treat her as his own daughter. Great relief and also a good outcome. Highly recommend!
Dr. Shea is highly skilled and knowledgeable. He's not just a great Orthopedic doctor , but also a great problem solver. He got to the root of my issue in a very logical and systematic way. I highly recommend him to anyone searching for orthopedic care, counseling, or surgery.
I tore my rotator cuff in a serious injury in 1999 that eventually led to the need for a reverse glenoid surgical replacement. Dr. Shea performed the surgery in Nov, 2024. One year later I am pain free with virtually seamless mobility. I am able to move like I used to before the accident. I highly recommend Dr. Shea. By my count, his surgical outcomes are beyond reproach.

I am very happy with the total shoulder surgery that Dr Shea performed. He listened and answered my questions and I felt respected. He explained my condition and the procedure I was going to have. My appointments were always on time and the staff was very friendly.
When I came to see Dr. Shea I had been in pain since 2016 I was at the point of not getting sleep due to the pain. He made clear what I was looking at for recovery and the next step once one shoulder was complete. Once one was complete and I reached a mild stone in my recovery we did the other shoulder. Years ago I needed to repair both rotator cuffs. Over time the left one needed to be repaired again. Dr. Shea explained very clearly why I needed to have a reverse shoulder replacement as opposed to another repair. It is outpatient surgery and I only needed 2 over the counter pills for discomfort the first day. Dr. Shea was compassionate and informative. Everything went exactly as he had explained. Dr. Shea has a great reputation, and I’d heard him described as “the shoulder guy,” so he was a logical choice for me. I needed a total replacement and under his care, and the other professionals on his staff, I felt safe and respected from start to finish. It’s been a year, and I don’t even think about my shoulder much these days—it feels like part of me again. Would not hesitate giving my top recommendation to anyone in need.
