Dr. David Shaw has been treating my psychiatric disorders for approximately ten years now. Dr Shaw has been my psychiatrist for 15 yrs, during my PTSD years and beyond. He’s so empathetic, calm, reassuring and truly works to find the correct meds to help me. I’ve found few doctors with his level of caring, knowledge and expertise, and I’m in a healthcare field!
Good guy. I wish he was still seeing folks in the office, but what can you do... COVID-19 has wrecked a bunch of businesses in the area.
This is an updated review. David Shaw continues to display empathy, skill and kindness and friendliness. I simply could not reccomend a physician more highly. He is not anywhere near the average psychiatrist, he is far superior. Absolutely excellent. His office assistant, Janet, is sweet and super helpful, which is a welcome addition, as well. Outstanding psychiatrist and person.
Dr. Shaw has been my psychiatrist for over five years. I’d like to echo what other reviewers have already stated—Dr. Shaw is kind, considerate, genuinely interested in getting to know you, flexible, open-minded and, most of all, knowledgeable. He doesn’t have a one-size-fits-all approach to psychiatry (i.e. if a treatment regime is working, stay with it). Hands down, he’s the best physician (let alone psychiatrist) that I’ve ever seen. He’s earns an A+ in my book.
Dr. Shaw is a warm and kind man. His calm and thoughtful demeanor is a huge improvement from the "highly recommended" psychiatrist we were referred to in the past. Even though he was not accepting new patients, he was willing to see our son. I cannot speak more highly of Dr. Shaw. We appreciate him and how carefully he considered medications to ensure our son had what worked best for him. Because of Dr. Shaw's high quality of care, our son has had a huge improvement in quality of life.
Great Psychiatrist. I find Dr. David to be a sincere, compassionate listener who is truly interested in helping me with my problems. He is knowledgeable and kind. As a client who is Bipolar Dr. David has helped me through the years, whether it be the good times or bad.
I have seen psychiatrists almost continuously since about age 13. By far, Dr. David Shaw is the most creative, well-informed and the very most caring one of them all.
He is extremely caring, great listener & excellent @ evaluating what medication suits your need.
