Dr Robert P Goolsby was my doctor for more than ten years, until I had a hysterectomy. I went in to his office for a pre surgery appointment and told him I was nervous. He patted me on the leg and said, “you will be fine, I do this often with no issues. It’s a standard surgery”. After my surgery he came out to speak to my husband to which he said “she had a lot of bleeding but she is stable now, I need to go get an extra large cup of coffee because I am so tired”. I suffered a miscarriage back in April due to large fibroids. I was kind of in between OBs at the time. My previous OB admitted that she didn't have much experience with such a severe case so I was referred to a specialist at UAB. However, I had the miscarriage before I could make it to that appointment. So, my mother found Dr. Goolsby immediately after. Today was my first day with Dr Goolsby. I absolutely adore him and would recommend him for any of your ob/gyn needs. Extremely thorough and nice personality. He took out the time to listen to my concerns. His nurse was great too ! Thanks for making this a great experience!
