I was visiting from Texas n wanted seafood, went to Shanty's food was very good but was mostly impressed with the service we had a very friendly waitress.
Service was great. My food was okay. I had the shrimp and scallops au gratin with the shanty fries. Would have liked a little more than 3 shrimp and 3 scallops and the fries were nothing special. My dinner partner ended up sending his plate back. He had ordered the shrimp scampi and when it came it was floating in butter. He didnt order anything in place of it but enjoyed my shanty fries. Haha.
Great food and views. Really enjoyed the ambiance!!!
Soup was really good and lobster roll was great. Prices were reasonable compared to seafood here in Wisconsin.
On a visit from CT, our friend who lives close to Burlington suggested we eat at The Shanty, we had been several times before and had enjoyed both the food and the service. The difference this time is now our friend has limited mobility due to a horrific ca accident so is unable to use stairs. Imagine our surprise when we were told there are no Handicap restrooms on the ground floor. So there is a Handicap ramp and parking but no facilities. Surely that's breaking some kind of law.?? Went there for dinner tonight to celebrate my brothers birthday and it was great! The food was very good and the service was excellent. They even sang happy birthday to my brother!
One of the best seafood place within the area. Very fresh seafood foods and the service was awesome...
Sad,Sad 3 Scallops,&8 Shrimp with no flavor.My honey didn't like the salad.Tomato wasn't ripe.Rolls hard has rock.
