RecommendedAbsolutely the best & most experienced and caring nurses and physician staff. I would not even consider using "the other" Hospital & I have been a Nurse & patient & worked & hospitalized from these facilities
Quality of care has diminished since the early 90's. Nurses and Hospitalist are under experienced, & it shows in the quality of care received. Attitude and Service is not patient oriented. Nurses spend more times on their cell phones than tending to put needs. Phones should not be allowed while working. Their current mission statement does not speak of the Shannon's mission to serve all persons regardless of income. They have created a monopoly in San Angelo & while their profits have increased their quality & compassion has... read more

Spent 6 hours in the ER tonight. 6. Was having chest pains and went in - got into a room straight away and was told to expect a 3 hour visit with all the testing and everything. I waited 2.5 hours after my second cardiac enzyme test and FINALLY got fed up so I hit the nurse call button to get an update because no one came by to check on me or anything. It would be amazing if Shannon ER could make sure that their patients feel noticed and cared about. 3 hours after the final test I finally told my nurse (who WAS very sweet) t... read more

Shannon spends 10’s of millions buying and building, but they won’t staff an emergency room with enough doctors and beds to meet the demand. It’s wrong that Shannon doesn’t fix it, year after year, and their staff is left apologizing.
