Back in the fall of 25’ I had a mental breakdown and thanks to the patience and kindness the staff at Shallowford showed me, I’ve been rehabilitated! They were able to help me process what I was feeling and helped me realize everything will be ok! I even met some good people getting treatment with me and we are still friends till this day. Whoever is reading this and is thinking about getting treatment, pick Shallowford wellness! They will get you right! God bless you all!

Located conveniently to both Dekalb and Gwinnett counties just inside the perimeter on I-85, Shallowford Wellness Center is a fantastic patient counseling center. They provide the best PHP (partial hospitalization program) I have ever attended. Small class sizes and two counselors ensure that all patients get the attention they may need. Easily the best groups based program I have ever attended. Thank you to all staff at Shallowford Wellness Center.
I was only given a one-day work excuse unless I enrolled in another service they offered. The conditional nature of the paperwork felt uncomfortable. Both programs ran by the same MD. Not illegal but definitely felt a bit unethical. Student doctor during my initial evaluation was very thorough and personable. I never saw the prescribing MD but the business practices made me feel too uneasy. For that reason I cannot proceed.
I recently completed PHP and IOP treatment at Shallowford Wellness Center and cannot say enough about the exceptional care I received from both the administrative and treatment teams. Dr. Mehdi is an outstanding psychiatrist who truly cares about his patients. He takes the time to listen, understand my symptoms and limitations, and ensures I fully understand my diagnosis and treatment plan.
