I have been a client here for a couple years now, my hair has took a turn for the better and I greatly appreciate that. Sandy was my stylist, she's the manager at this location, who I also believe to be the founder of the salon, so there's nobody else to speak to if you have an issue, which is unfortunate. RecommendedI came here for my first relaxer after I damaged my natural hair and they did an excellent job. I came back and had a different stylist do my hair and I still received the same great results! my hair doesn't need heavy relaxers so I was afraid they would over do it but they did not. I'm very happy with Shallamar's and I've found my new salon.
I have natural hair and have visited this salon twice in about two years. The first time, it was recommended for me to have a Keratin treatment, which was wonderful at first, but if you like your natural curls, you will realize that maintenance is a problem. I did not continue with the Keratin and allowed my hair to grow out. The second time I got a blow out with curls, which is more manageable. I’ve visited this salon several times already. I’m really happy with their services. The 3 times I’ve been here has been for a pretty huge event and I’ve recieved quite a few compliments. I also referred a few friends and they have great things to say about Shallamars. I’m glad to have found such a great establishment!
I'm a former employee at Shallamars, spent a good year at this salon. All though I no longer work here due to personal reasons. It was an absolute privilege for me. I have made life long friends with the ladies here and also had great and loyal clients. I was tought so much here. DO NOT go to this salon if you have natural hair. This salon does not specialize in natural hair care despite any representations it may make or advertise.

Thank you for your review, however we do specialize in natural hair. The salon is Jamaican owned with black owners. Saying we dont specialize in natural hair is like saying we dont have natural hair. Not sure what experience you had with us or what you may have heard but our salon is black owned.
Loved the personalized attention. Like you are the only one in the salon. Staff is great and show real care for your needs.
