Dr. Shakoor is fantastic. He is very professional and nice and he and his staff are so caring and do such a great job you know you are in good hands. I live about 3 hours away and went to a local doctor for my first detached retina. When it detached again 2 weeks later we went to the Moran Center at U of U. I wish I had made the drive when it first happened as I think my vision would have been much better. Don’t take a chance. Go to the Moran center.
Dr. Shakoor is one of the best medical professionals I've encountered. He is the rare combination of being extremely knowledgeable/talented, with remarkable bedside manner. Dr. Akbar Shakoor, MD, has been treating me for five or six years, and consistently acknowledges me and my needs. He is caring, detailed and I consider him to be a trusted part of my medical care team.
Dr Shakoor, is wonderful. He is the perfect combination of great bed side manner and the nerdy doctor who knows his stuff. I drove 6 hours, through 4 states, to meet with him and he answered all of my questions with confidence and care!
