The place was great. Problem, we had to settle for what they had. Not what we wanted. So a little disappointed. Cigars were good.
This was a cool place to relax. Live music and a good laid back sophisticated atmosphere. They also had a strong selection of fine adult beverages. A nice place to spend a few hours indeed.
wish i could rate this place zero stars. the bouncer was a total prick. he told me to remove my hat per dress code. fine, no problem. i took it off and told him i'd put it in my friend's purse. he went on a power trip & told me i'd just burn him like the rest and put it back on when i got into the bar. uhh, no? was just trying to drink some whiskey tonight and also make sure my hat didn't get stolen in their shitty collection box. we took our business to spring st. bar which was wayyyyy better and nonpretentious. i don't car... read more
I was excited to be here right when I walked in the door. Old fashioned décor, dark-lit, and very cool! There are many different Whiskey drinks to choose from. All interesting, it was hard to choose. Since I like raspberries, the bartender created a drink for me called Irish Vandal (Or Randal?) I liked it. My friends had New York Sours and a few other delicious creations. I was responsible for Lou Reed's death here, pretty sure; kind of long story but it's a Benedictine themed place, dead animals hanging from the walls etc and I kind of cursed him after someone played Perfect Day and he was dead by the next morning, friends texted me like "you fucking killed Lou Reed!!!" next day.....anyhoo, high end booze drinks and muy metropolitan
Yum. And then some.
Great space, nice smoking patio, no cover, $1 discount tix, way too crowded.
