It's true the wait time is...huge. Nearly 2 hours for me. They were nice enough to allow me to leave and call me when it was almost my turn. He stayed late (after 7:30pm) and still folks in the waiting room which means he dedicates his time to his patients. Dr. Kaufman asked a LOT of questions and examined me in a home office setting, no bright lights or scary beds. I'm not sure of the diagnosis yet. Blood work ordered is over $3,000, I need it but have to wait to afford it. EMG pending, too.
Never saw doctor.Had a 1:20 appmt,driove 110 miles from Prescott to Scottsdale.Woke up with flu-like symptom,called to cancel.Was told I would be charged $75 to cancel and reschedule.Can't afford this, made the trip.Arrived early to a 6 chair crowded waiting room.Dr running late,1.5 hr delay.Went to lunch,called back, told it would be another1.5 hour wait! Went back to pick up my I.D's office kept and took back my paperwork.Horrible office staff, no apologies, just excuses.Don't waste your time.
One of the best doctors i have ever had. Diagnosed a rare hemicranea continua, treated it and has been attentive and follow up has been spectacular.
I was there yesterday at 2:45 for a 3 o'clock follow up appointment to review tests that were ordered 6 week previous. That was first appointment I could get. So not happy to have to wait that long to learn results. After 3 hours of waiting and not having the doctor see me or acknowledge me being there I left and no one even seemed to care. The worst patient care ever.
I met with Dr. Kaufman on 12-29 since his staff called me to schedule an appointment. He was upset that I had written a negative opinion of our previous visit and assured me that he did not throw a paper at me, holler, etc. He said that he sometimes talks a little loud and fast and apologized. He offered his help in finding a solution for my tension headache and we discussed options for my depression. He prescribed a medication and said that I could call him any time.
