My wife experienced an incident with the hedge trimmer. We scheduled an appointment while she was preparing for the visit. Upon arrival, we were checked in promptly, and within one minute, she was taken to the designated area for immediate care. The nurse was exceptionally courteous and prepared the necessary equipment for the doctor. I just showed up at this urgent care that closes at 8 pm , 25 minutes before they close not one person in the waiting room and I was turned away and told that the provider decided not to see any more patients tonight. I will never come to this urgent care again I wasted my time coming here and now by the time I leave here to try to get to a different urgent care it will be too late. Human healthcare is the worst nowadays.
As a Sentara RN, I was very disappointed with my follow up. Briefly on Tuesday, I has sudden onset of fever and body aches. On Wednesday morning I went to urgent care. Negative for flu and Covid. They had no rapid strep test available so the physician stabbed me and told me he would have to send the test out and it will take about 2 days. My initial visit was OK. For there only being three people in the waiting room at 7:00 pm, it took nearly an hour to be seen, even with an appointment. The doctor was very nice and said that if the antibiotic didn't seem to be working to give him a call and he would call in a different one. Two days later, I called to tell him that the antibiotic wasn't working that I needed something else. Horrible experience with PA Jeffrey Padgett. Went in to be seen for ear pain. He came in the room, spoke maybe 3 words. Checked my ear ONLY and went to leave without even having a conversation with me. I had to speak up about antibiotics and he was visibly annoyed with my concerns. He sighed loudly and left the room. Did not even come back to bring discharge information. He sent the nurse in to bring it to me (who was incredibly kind and attentive the entire visit- truly wonderful).
