Pretty decent gym I've been going to Select Fitness for 3 months now. So far, I've enjoyed it! As long as you don't go right after work (or at the beginning of January), there are plenty of machines available. They have a sauna, an outdoor area with boxing and basketball, a dance room for classes, and a darkened room with a theater screen where you can watch movies while you exercise. My biggest complaint would have to be that the staff constantly pesters people about personal training.
Ripped Offf... Poor quality gym. The staff is not well trained. The staff seems short and rude when you ask for anything. Daycare is always full or unavailable. Do not pay in advance like I did. After moving a refund was denied even though the contract offers the refund. There are much better gyms in the area for less money. I purchased my membership because it was close to my home. Not good for non-permanent residence or for parents with small children If you are military or a military spouse I do not recommend this gym. We relocated and It has been a HUGE hassle to get a refund of my membership dues which I had paid in full. The management is unprofessional and always too busy to help. Child care is also an issue. There are never enough workers on staff to accommodate the number of children in the playroom. Bottom line...you should look elsewhere for a gym!
no thanks When I went to get a membership the people there were very rude and left me waiting around. I wasn't very impressed with the place from the moment I walked in. It seems like a decent place for people that are just there to socialize but not to lift. The weight lifting area is way smaller than other places I've worked out at. If you are serious about working out and lifting then look elsewhere!
nice gym I was with ladies choice and they sold my membership when they closed the north charleston location. This is a far superior place. I am comfortable and there is a ton more equipment and the staff is always willing to help.
