Went for Sunday brunch. Get the steak and eggs. It was the BEST steak I've ever eaten in my life! My fiancée had the shrimp and grits, very good. I will definitely be back for dinner service.
We finally made it to Selden Standard last night (Wednesday, December 9) to celebrate my birthday. We arrived before 6:00 and scored a parking spot in the lot alongside the building. We were also able to be seated right away! The table where they first seated us near the front door was a bit chilly, so they moved us to two seats right in front of the wood-fired grill and brick pizza oven. From the acorn squash to the fresh bread, the craft cocktails to the grilled trout, Selden Standard is a cut above any of Detroit's newest eateries. Best birthday dinners ever.
