We "finished" our home at the end of 2017. I say finished but it was never really finished. The painters came back six times and still did not finish the touch ups. When we would put tap on places that needed to be fixed they would take the tap down and not fix the places. They refused to come back after the sixth time and Sedgewick would not try to find another painter to fix the places even though we filled the paper out that the close would not be complete until the paint was fixed and we approved and signed another paper... read more
See Brian Thacker’s post.. you will see if you deal with them you get the basics of the basics and any upgrade that is standard in most homes are ridiculously priced. We got taken for $1000 and no offer to refund any of it because they didn’t tell us they charged $9 a block for anything over a low standard foundation. So, after trying to increase our price by over $20,000, be backed out of their contract.
We contracted to build a home with this contractor but buyer beware they say they are priced below modular and that may be true. If you do no upgrades at all and they make you pay 1,000 dollars up front before they do a site meeting. They came to my property and looked after they collected my money and said the price would be thousands more because the land wasn’t perfectly level and I would need x amount of block for the foundation.So I could not afford to pay that and when I wanted to back out on the contract they told us ... read more
We have enjoyed started our dream home with Sedgwick! We look forward to ground break day! They have responded to my calls,text and emails in a very timely manner! Allen in the statesville office has been by our side the whole time! Meeting our wonderful building Shawn was a Pleasant experience and we look forward to him being there the hallway while building our dream home! Thank you Sedgwick homes!!
Steve and Brian worked hard to make sure we were happy. They responded quickly to all of our questions and concerns and were really pleasant to deal with all the way through the process.
I was not going to leave a review, but seeing they took my post down, I will. I contacted this company on Monday via a form through their website. Two days later, I had still not been contacted by them. No email even saying that they received my contact information. Nothing. I left a post on their page and someone said they would finally contact me. First impressions are everything and this company left me with a bad one.
We contracted with this company to build our dream home. It was finished in May of 2017. Special thanks to Arlo for taking the time to hear our complaint and working to get our issue resolved. Any company can have problems come up but it takes people like you and your team to work with the customer to make things right. Special thanks to Chris as well, it was a pleasure to work with you during the construction of our home and a little extra as he does not mind getting wet at the lake to help out in time of need, lol.
Long story as short as possible we had the house we wanted to build and dealt with a women named catherine, we no longer wanted to build the house on our 40 acres but wanted to buy another parcel and build it on that land. That took about 30 or 45 days. We went back to Sedgewick and Catherine was no longer there. Ok, sales has a high turnover, so we dealt with a women named Sharon.
