My daughter and her husband had a horrible experience with this company. They do subpar (putting it nicely) work, and every time they came out to repair their mistakes, they damaged something else. They repeatedly left doors unlocked, which caused a home burglary and vandalism, a loss of several thousand dollars. They repeatedly left lights and heat on. Great experience. I have a Laurel Valley home. Very professional service during construction. The Laurel Valley is a very spacious home. No complaints.
I highly would NOT recommend Sedgewick homes. My wife and I just finished our first home with them and it has been a total nightmare to say the least. In what should have been an exciting time with our first home has been anything but. Everything from the sales process to the construction process has not went smooth with them. I would recommend Sedgewick Homes to anyone wanting to build their dream home. I just closed on my Spring Valley home and I couldn't be happier. Special thanks to Ashley Powell, Site Supervisor, who ensured everything was done correctly and timely and always kept me informed on the progress of the home and to Cathy Kirby, Customer Coordinator, who helped me with all the design details. I just had to take a minute to say that Jennifer Shore at the Hamptonville office is awesome! She has went above and beyond on this journey for us. She’s been a true blessing.
We "finished" our home at the end of 2017. I say finished but it was never really finished. The painters came back six times and still did not finish the touch ups. When we would put tap on places that needed to be fixed they would take the tap down and not fix the places. They refused to come back after the sixth time and Sedgewick would not try to find another painter to fix the places even though we filled the paper out that the close would not be complete until the paint was fixed and we approved and signed another paper... read more
