There are times when you need to get data off of a disk that has gone bad. If you have tried everything and the data is mission critical, I would strongly recommend Secure Data Recovery and Jake Gambatese! I contacted SDRS for a external hard drive that was dropped and stopped working. I was uneasy about sending it in and having them do an evaluation, but after corresponding with Elijah Robinson via email and phone I felt it was safe and secure. Elijah was very good at keeping me in the loop with what was the status of my drive.
