No one wants to have to come here but the staff is wonderful and so caring. It’s a beautiful place and very clean. We have not had one complaint since we have been here. We appreciate all the sincere thoughtfulness of the nurses, volunteers and all the staff in caring for our mother. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
The angels at SECU Hospice House of Smithfield are an amazing group of people. The love and care they give each family is phenomenal. Each and every caregiver poured their heart and soul into our family. This type of work is truly a calling and I believe that everyone in the building was called by God to serve the families that use their facilities. ABSOLUTE ANGELS!!!!
Truly appreciate all of the staff. I just wish they had more of these do more people could receive the quality of care they provide. I have nothing but good things to say about them.
I am very familiar with hospice and the different levels of care having just retired from hospice in January of 2018. Though SECU Hospice House is over an hour from our home, the drive is insignificant compared to the exceptional care my mother is receiving. The nurses are amazing, experienced and compassionate to not only Mother and her needs but also to my needs as her daughter. The volunteer that met with me was outstanding as was the Social Worker. They all “get it.” They care. They make sure that we know that we matter.... read more
Amazing caregivers, such compassion and empathy each and every employee shows meant the world to my family and I. Ms. Ruth especially, she is like a member of our family that we often talk about with great respect and admiration. I cannot thank her enough for the incredible care that she gave not just to my family members but to myself as well when I needed a shoulder to cry on or someone to pray with. I too am in the medical field and when anyone asks for recommendations; this is the place I refer them to.
