Founded in 1991, Seattle Shakespeare Company presents year-round productions of classical plays. In our indoor home at the Center House Theatre at Seattle Center, we produce a season of play by Shakespeare and other classic authors. During the summer our free, outdoor Wooden O productions tour to parks in King, Pierce and Snohomish counties. "The Winters Tale" current incarnation at SSC is my fourth WT -- and easily the richest, strongest I've seen. I never thought I'd experience someone who surpasses Mandy Patinkins brilliance in the role of Leontes at the Public Theatre in the early '90s.... But Darragh Kennan does. The slow build of his multi-faceted jealousy and tyranny was both thrilling and heartbreaking to watch. No simple villain here. Kudos to Director Daniels and a glorious cast, espec Amy Thone, MJ Sieber... A Must See
