Terrible experience ���Called yesterday for a 10 am appointment for brakes evaluation but when I check-in my name is not in the appointment list. The staff told me it will take an hour or less and I will know the results. Worst I waited for an hour, 2 hours, and finally after 3 hours, 3 freaking hours the manager offer free ride home then they will call me if it is done. Sears auto Center sucks!!! I went in for an oil change and it seemed like as if it was an Immigration inspection. The fool was ll over my brand new Van. I even posted it online. This is an oil change not a "full inspection" ...ugh!!! All he did was park my van from one side to the other ..... I will be contacting store management as well as corporate so they know what these fools are doing ...
However it didn't effect me this morning, but making appointments to cut staff is not good customer service. Sears has always been known for after work and weekend availability. Cutting service to walk-ins will eventually hurt your bottom line. Three people were already turned away in the last forty-five minutes.
This auto center is absolute garbage. I don't understand how I voided my alignment warrantee when my wheel bearing went bad and was told by three different employees there that I could change my bearing and my warrantee WOULD NOT be voided. Then I go there today after I changed the bearing to get my alignment done and was told that I voided the warrantee. Bottom line is is that if you want to get ripped off and waste your money go to Sears Auto Center Merrillville. They will be more then happy to take your money, lie to you ... read more
