The very nice Sears repairman came to my home to look at our dryer, and then went six doors down the street to look at my mother's clothes washer. He was unable to fix either machine. With one, the parts were no longer available (the Maytag dryer was about 20 years old); with the other, the estimate for the repair was twice as much as a new washer would cost. It seemed like a waste of money for both service calls. Live and learn.

The first service rep came early in the 4 hours window, which I was pleased to have scheduled within a week of my phone call for an appointment. His assessment was quick, but thorough: I needed 2 new spray arms because the old ones were clogged, couldn't be taken apart for cleaning and therefore were not cleaning the dishes. I have had Sears Preventive Maintenance contract for years, my most recent experience with a leaking dishwasher has been very very disappointing. We have set-up another appointment for Saturday May 16 (1-5pm). It appears to me that the dish-washer needs needs to be replaced...hope your mechanic arrives at the same conclusion...my prayers with GOD for his blessings Paramjit Singh more than 10 years preventive maintenance agreement
