Children's Health Express turned my 2 year old away because they didn't accept bills of any amount. They wanted me to use a credit card and did Not want cash.
Visited scripps health express and received an out of network bill for $500 for a 10 min doctor visit. scripps health express says it accepts my insurance but doctor that was on duty that day is out of network. scripps health express Is a walk in clinic and there is no way of knowing who the doctor on that shift and if it’s in network or out of network. Not trusting Scripps again. Switching to UCSD or Sharp healthcare.
We went to Scripps Health Express for Pediatrics on the third floor. This is rating is for the person who gave my daughter and son the covid vaccine. The rest of the staff was amazing. I normally don't go to this location, but this was one that was available for my son. The female staff member who administered the shot was not personable and a bit rude. We’ve used health express numerous times for things like strep check, ear infections, etc and always been pleased. The time spent there is much less than urgent care for routine things and unable to get into reg doctor. I love the option!
I love my PC Dr. Shaker and his PA Lisa. Unfortunately their "Health Care Team" (a missnomer if there ever was one), leaves a lot to be desired.
