Great Vet hospital and caring vet/staff I've been going to Scottsville Hospital for many years and my dog loves it! He gets tons of love and attention, and the prices are fair. They save tons of animals there!!!. They never put the shelter animals to sleep, the staff told me they keep the shelter animals as long as it takes until they find a home. Dr. Bergash may come across as reserved, but he is VERY kind! I have recommended this hospital and adoption agency to friends and family.

Not what the say they are I thought that they were a nice vet hospital but I agree with the other review. Their prices are astronomical. It costs about 200 to adopt a cat from them. They are a no kill but I heard that they pick and choose their animals and if they are there too long they send them to lollipop. I too heard that the vet is not nice and is in it strictly to make money PROS: Nice looking animals CONS: Price ot adoption, vet

Danger! Check Office of Professions site! http://www.op.nysed.gov/jul02.htm#berg http://www.op.nysed.gov/dec99.htm#berg He is NOT a good vet, nor a good person. The adoption section is a front for him to make money off animals. He WILL put them to sleep if they are not adopted or send them to Lollypop. He has left technicians there alone to do his appointments for him. HE IS A BAD VET, please do your research at the Office of Professions and on the web for veterinary care. Check doctorscorecard.com also for help.

Never again! We adopted a puppy from Scottsville over a year and a half ago. While filling out the adoption paperwork, they informed us that her brother was just put to sleep because he was exposed to and had contracted distemper. Because this had happened to him, they told us our new puppy was also exposed, although she did receive her 1st distemper shot, but to be aware and watch for symptoms. She was a sick little girl, which we knew going into this. They did inform use she was previously on antibiotics for an infection a... read more

EVERY puppy has parvo Like many other reviewers I adopted a dog from them( at a petsmart in henrietta). I was able to meet a dog i thought was cute. After spending about 30 minutes getting to know him and his brother, we decided to adopt one. We filled out an application handed over cash and that was that, we left with the dog. It was on a sunday so our vet was not open to check references. Luckily, the puppy was going to a good home. We were not informed he was in a litter with parvo until i got home and saw it scribbled on... read more

mixed feelings I also adopted my puppy at the end of may 2010, and also received a call saying that one of her puppy mates had been diagnosed with parvo and i took her in and the test was negative. She then got sick a couple weeks later and she had a parasite which they gave me the medicine for free to get rid of it. Other then that I have not had any problems with her. I do however think that the male doctor is to say bluntly a jerk. i brought her in on a saturday because she seemed to have a runny nose and he wouldnt even ... read more

do not adopt here We adopted what appeared to be a healthy puppy on May 21. After about 1-1/2 weeks we were notified that one of her litter mates came down with parvo. Our puppy was scheduled to be spayed on June 4 and since she showed no signs of parvo, they went ahead and did her surgery. Two days later on Sunday morning, the puppy became lethargic and wouldn??t eat. I called Scottsville and was told to bring her in the next day. Later in the day, we decided she was going to make it another day so we brought her into the a... read more
