Dr.Um is an incredibly kind doctor that really is patient care driven. I am so incredibly grateful for surgery and could not express my gratitude at the kindness and empathy he had the entire process. My life has changed drastically and the recovery was pretty easy. I had surgery with Dr. Um, 4 years ago for a sleeve and returned again recently for the sadi, and I can honestly say he’s one of the most caring and dedicated doctors I’ve ever met. Dr Um is fantastic! I had surgery September 14 and he was my surgeon. He is very kind and caring. I’m feeling great and down 22 pounds. His team is great 👍
I would be lying if I said I had zero concerns about having bariatric surgery, but I knew I had to do it. When I was first connected with Dr. Um, I immediately knew I was in good hands. During my first consultation, I had so many questions; he listened intently and answered all of my ridiculous queries, without any hesitation. I write this with great disappointment as I have been a life time Kaiser member and lover. Dr Um does not represent Kaiser in a positive light as I voiced some after surgery concerns and he brushed it over and had an attitude with me as if he thought that I was insulting his medical skill by voicing my concern. I mentioned that I did not feel cared for as a patient by him and he called me “overly sensitive”. I have NEVER in my life experienced someone like this from a doctor or health care professional.
