We decided to have the popcorn ceiling removed in our house. Our neighbor recommended Scott Brown Painting. Don Tucker came our and gave us an estimate and while he was here, he told us how dusty and dirty the job would be. The estimate was what we expected and they started the job the next Monday. First off, Tom was the first person I asked for a quote to respond and came out the next day to walk the house with us. A few days before starting, Tom brought their crew leader, Noah, to the house and we walked through and identified the paint finish in each room and got a plan together for the sequencing. When the entire crew came, they jumped right in with no questions or a need for another walkthrough. Please, do not hire them or any of their subcontractors. We hired them for five or six jobs last year and in the beginning the work was slightly below average, but they were affordable. We paid over $7k for new stairs and they are frankly ugly. We hired them a few more times for our bathroom and kitchen. The bathroom was easy. Just a new toilet and floor. That was fine.
