Dr. Meyer was professional and friendly, he did a thorough examination of my knee. Explained my MRI and the options I could take in detail from shots and physical therapy to surgery including pre-op and post-op recovery. Dr. Meyer agreed with the choice I made, which is reassuring.
I re-injured my knee and was feeling very depressed, scared and lost. Dr. Kimelman was extremely helpful in explaining my situation and calming me down....he took the time to care. He is a class act human being and a phenomenal physician. He is not going to push his patients into medications, injectingions and most importantly, surgery until he has exhausted every possible option to restore your health, which is not only the right way to practice medicine, it also how Iowa Ortho is the best in their field. Dr. Kimelman is a wonderful doctor. Always listens and explains any questions regarding reason you’re there . Extremely knowledgeable and so kind and compassionate. Wonderful staff and all so friendly and helpful. Would and have recommended Dr. Kimelman to anyone who has Orthopaedic issues.have complete confidence in him.

Good visit. Dr. Kimelman has been giving me cortisone shots for years and he is always pleasant to talk to.
After falling on a basketball court I broke my humerus in four places and tore my rotator cuff. Dr. Meyer repaired the rotator cuff and did a partial shoulder replacement. Throughout the entire process, he was excellent and answered all of my questions. He is an excellent surgeon and I would highly recommend him. No direction whatsoever. Gave me options but they ranged from nothing (wait) to surgery. Not personable or comforting even though he knows he’s moving the range of motion into pain. Left not knowing any real medical advice.
Very knowledgeable and made sure I understood all the information he was providing. My questions were answered and I will be returning for follow-up treatment.
